I often can get more from them than I can selling books directly on Amazon, esp books that are going for just a few dollars, so I will keep using them. They are not as picky as Powells but I do not send them anything with writing or that is ex library.

The prices might not be as much as other websites buying books back, but after receiving my check I would say Textbooks.com was a safe and fast place to do business with. They communicated with me when I emailed them concerning about when they would send me the check after they got my books. The whole process took about 2 weeks. How fast!!! Thanks guys.

They use UPS instead of USPS Media Mail so the chances of your shipment being lost is very small. Also, they are not nazis when it comes to the condition of the books. However, when they had to check in one of my books manually I ended up receiving less than the quoted price even though "We actually did receive the books as quoted, but because something had to
be manually adjusted, it may have looked in your account as if something
was off. All 10 books were received." Also, all the others I've worked with sent payment to my paypal within 24 hours of receiving the books, while I am still waiting for payment 3 days later from Textbooks.com. I'm not completely satisfied, but am fine giving them 4 stars.

They offer the convenience of a ups shipping label and come across as a very efficient and organized company. You receive an email when your shipment arrives as well as a 2nd email identifying what they received. Then within a couple days an email telling you $$ is on the way. I usually mail to 4 or 5 companies on the same day and they are ALWAYS the first to acknowledge receipt and send payment.

I got a good amount back for my books, especially for the ones I had 'guaranteed buyback' quotes on (purchased at textbooks.com). I was given the same amount I was quoted for my books, which were in great shape. My only slight criticism is that my books were received on 1/4 and my check arrived 1/19; however, this seems understandable due to the volume of books they must be receiving, and also because I didn't use paypal. Overall, highly recommended!

BUT enough is enough. These guys are getting slower and slower and slower. Payment made for items has gone WAY down hill. My book was in almost perfect condition. The only thing wrong with it, as far as i know, is that the front cover, which is hard cover, had kind of a crater on it the size of a dime, probably from something hard that pressed down on it. On the crater, the color was missing also.
