	Feb 2012	In January 2012 I sold 4 books to Chegg in two different transactions. In each case I received my PayPal payment the same day as the books were received. This is the fastest payment I've experienced from any of the 7 or 8 vendors I've used. Very pleased.

	Jan 2012	I sent in a book to Chegg a few semesters ago, and got my money quickly and had no issues with them, so I thought I would use them again. Mistake! Both books were in very good condition, but they sent me an email and said they would have to send one back because it was damaged. I freaked out and thought it was damaged in the mail (the value of the book was over $100) but when I called them to get to the bottom of it, they said there was excessive highlighting. Two chapters were highlighted out of the 25 chapter book, and to top it off, I had bought it used like that... from Chegg! I had to pay $7 just to get it back too. Will never use them again because of thir inconsistent judgement on what is acceptable and what is not.

I've sold my books using lots of different sellers listed on this site and never disagreed with their assessment with the condition of my book. With no explanation of why they thought it was of inferior quality they are going to "recycle" my book. If I had thought there was even a small chance they wouldn't buy this book I would have sold it at my local store for $72. I already took it there and they offered me $72 for it. I only didn't sell it to them because chegg offered me more. Now I'm out $72 and will not be using Chegg ever again because I can't afford to lose that much money.

	Aug 2011	I received a quote from Chegg and shipped out my book the same day expecting them to pay me the quoted price. Two days after I mailed out the book out they said that they "miss quoted" the book, and I could go online to request a new one. It was only after they received the book that they completely canceled my original quote. They gave me a new quote claiming they received an "extra book" from me. No, that's the one that I mailed out with my original quote! So the new quote was not even half of the original quote and was well under the competition's quotes! I requested that the book be mailed back since they screwed up. They said I'd have 7 dollars shipping fee! I called the company to request I don't pay for their screw up. They took a little off, but I still ended up paying to get my book back. It's a very shady company that takes back their quotes after you mail a book out, and they make you pay to get the book back because their quotes aren't worth the competitors prices.

	Aug 2011	Not what I expected. If your book is worth more then $40 expect a long waiting period for payment. I have used different companies in the past with books valued at more than $75 and received prompt payment. When checking the status got the run a round the first week and actually got some info the 2nd. I would not recommend this company unless your books are valued at less then $40 and oh yeah I chose my payment method as paypal which you would assume be quickiest method then by check and I am still waiting to receive my payment as of july 26. Will update. THW

I also used three other buyback companies at the same time because they offered a better price on a couple books. Let me tell you, Chegg beat the others by weeks, yes weeks, in getting my money to me. Absolutely will use them again!!!

	May 2011	Great service! I was a little anxious to sell my books to a vendor I'd never heard of, but it was all smooth sailing. I shipped my books out on Fri the 6th and I received an email on Tues. the 10th that my books had arrived. Later on that day, I received another email letting me know they were preparing my check and putting it in the mail. I received my check on Mon. the 16th. My only downside to the service is that I sent in two books, in the same box, yet they were processed separately. When I got the first email confirming only book one, it had me worried that they had lost the second one. Also, since they were processed separately, I was cut 2 checks instead of them just putting both on one. Aside from that little glitch, I would use them again!

Start to finish was 9 days, with most of that time for ground transportation of book and check. Bottom line here: Chegg was quick, efficient, and communicative. A tip here for successful transactions: pay attention to bookbuyers directions and instructions and follow them precisely. Thanks again, Chegg!

	Sep 2010	I sold them 3 books for about 60 dollars. I tracked my package until they received it, then gave them a week before i called. They said they received it and it would take a couple weeks to process. I called again a week later and they said for some reason my books are not being processed and they will notify the shipping department. A week later I called again and they said a supervisor would call me. He never called and two weeks later I called again. They said "we have a note in your file saying a supervisor called you. did he call you?" I replied and said no he had not. They were nice this time around and said a supervisor will definitely call me. I wrote the books off as a loss. Three weeks later, a total of 9 weeks in, I called again just for the hell of it and asked "Hey what ever happened to those books?" They were apologetic and said they would look into it. I guess a miracle happened because about an hour later a supervisor did in fact call me and issued me a check which I got 2 weeks later. So after a million calls and 11 weeks I got my money.

I had one book that every other dealer offered at least $20 less than what Chegg offered. I went ahead and made the transaction, they emailed me multiple times to let me know where we were in the transaction stages, and then a check showed up for the full amount they offered. They even beat 2 of the more "reputable" dealers in terms of turn around time, from the book leaving me to receiving my check. Bottom line, I will definitely deal with them again.

	Feb 2010	This site gave me good payouts on all my books. More than other sites. I was very pleased. They don’t have PayPal, but that’s ok because you can get charged for that. The do send out a visa card, but before you get the card you can just transfer the fund electronically to your checking account. One of the six books came back lower than the quote so watch the quality of the book it must be very good.
	Feb 2010	Thought I would give them a try. They held onto my book for a long time until I chatted with them online and they sent me a check. You can use them, but keep an eye on them and make sure you keep track of who you talk to and what was said. Keep all of your emails and keep tabs on every bit of contact you have with them. I actually printed off the online chat I had with them so I could prove what was said if there had been a problem. Not sure I would try them again. They don't seem worth the trouble. Plus, they only send you a check if there is a problem. It would be cheaper for them to cut a check then keep sending plastic cards.
	Feb 2010	i will say this. i have sold books to textsbookrus and blue rocket books ONLY and they were amazing. So i decided to try chegg.. i sent in a $90 BRAND NEW calculus book and NEVER received payment, They simply said they never recieved it.
	Feb 2010	I sold chegg 30 books in six different orders and every single order that they processed was wrong. They put no order numbers on their checks so you can't balance your account. Will never sell them a book again. They need to stick to renting.
